In high school spin the globe was replaced by spin the bottle but I digress. When you travel you get a global appreciation for what is important in life.     DreamBIG episodes are all about you pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone and living a life of adventure. I just got home from Beijing China where I met the most incredible people and once again exposed to their rich culture. I found it very interesting that they were unable to dream outside of their current position in life. They could envision themselves having success in their jobs but outside of that they had an inability to truly DreamBIG. I then travelled to New Orleans for the PGA Tour Zurich Classic to support my athletes. I found myself again talking bout visualizing success beyond their current perception.   • CGP Ep514 Sharpening The Blade Again

    I have shared my philosophy and tips regarding "sharpening the blade" in the past. Many of you have integrated these techniques in your life when the shit hits the fan or you have run yourself into the ground. I think a regularly scheduled sharpening is a much better strategy. A chef doesn't need to cut off their finger while cutting a tomato to recognize the need for a sharper knife. I have some new techniques that I include in my daily routine and add to my quarterly reset where I sharpen all the knives in my knife drawer.     Why is it that you can remember shanking it on the 17th hole at the Players Championship 3 years ago but can't remember what you had for lunch 3 days ago? Memories are deepened when we attach emotion to them. Positive or negative, our emotions add stickiness to our past. This can be a problem when we allow these emotionally charged memories to affect our future. The secret to maximizing your performance is to reframe the negative memories and turn them into positives! You are not your thoughts and your thoughts are not you. Your thoughts, however, dictate your actions. Your actions create habits and your habits create the person you are. As Nick Cannon famously said, "You are what you consistently do." I think it was Nick that said that while signing his 17th kid's birth certificate? Ill check on that quote and get back to you.
