In Crystal Clear Journal's debut podcast, musician Joey Green spends a Sunday morning (via Zoom) with his long time friend, guitarist, singer and songwriter, Justin "JJ" Jordan. Justin " JJ " Jordan is a versatile guitar, mandolin, dobro and baritone guitar player that has appeared and toured in the US, Europe, South America and Japan with a number of artists including: Sean Fleming, Flo & Eddy (The Turtles), Shirley Allston Reeves (Shirelles), Charlie Thomas’s Drifters, Joey Dee & the Starlights, a multitude of Doo Wop/Oldies acts and most recently, with Garland Jeffreys. He is also a member of The Sidney Green Street Band, who released their third album featuring original southern "swamp" rock and blues originals. This NYC-based musician is well known for his passion and respect for all types of music. He hosted the popular Sunday night "JJ Trashband Jam" for over 5 years; a destination for local and touring musicians looking to meet and jam off the road with other players.
As a professional musician for over 40 years, JJ has performed, toured, and recorded both as a solo artist and with an eclectic mix of bands - playing everything from Southern Rock, New Wave, Reggae/Ska, Irish, Rock and Roll, Funk, and Blues. In 2015, JJ was inducted into the New York / New Jersey Blues Hall of Fame.
With the pending release of his new track, "Mother Nature ", Justin Jordan reminds us that rockin' out in the 21st Century still feels as good as ever!
