News: With the new Lilo & Stitch movie debuting to record numbers, there is a bit more Stitch around than usual. A new Stitch sipper is available at the Galactic Grill for $25.99, which comes with a fountain drink of choice. New Magic Shots featuring Stitch photobombing you at the Main Entrance, and near Sleeping Beauty Castle. In Disney California Adventure, you can be photobombed on Buena Vista Street, the Cloud Wall on the Pixar Pier bridge, and near the waterfall by Grizzly Peak. Phineas and Pherb are meeting and greeting in the Hollywood Backlot. Agent P joins them on Saturdays only. Patrick is being celebrated at Club 33 with his own menu. He is going on a “Royal Adventure” to New Orleans Square where the menu features cocktails representing the five original lands. The Watchlight, and the Strawberry Streetcar for Main Street, Flights of Enchantment for Fantasyland, Amber Waves of Tea for Frontierland, Neverending Tomorrow for Tomorrowland, and Uncharted Nature for Adventureland. The Flag Retreat ceremony in Town Square was larger then usual to honor the day.     News: The Disneyland 70th finally kicked off on Friday. While the lines for merchandise, 70th experiences, and food were longer than usual, the lines for attractions were very off-season feeling.     The 70th castle sculpture in the esplanade revealed an interesting twist this week – it is a music box! At least that is what is sounds like.     The new Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live show has debuted in the Disney Theatre in Disney California Adventure. The new show is a big upgrade from the last show in the theatre, and is still geared towards younger kids, with seating on the floor only. The show features characters, bubbles, snow, disco lighting, and more.     After over two years, a part of Adventureland has returned in a different form. The Adventureland restrooms across from the entrance to the land have finally lost the not very temporary wall. The wall was put up over two years ago to cover the damage from a burst water pipe.     The new live action Lilo & Stitch movie is coming to theaters on May 23rd, and Stitch has stopped by Disneyland to celebrate. Stitch came and had a busy day at the parks, but left behind evidence he was there.     Fans of the Animation Academy unite! Sleeping Beauty Castle has received the “Celebrate Happy” logo above the drawbridge, and colorful bunting has been installed all along Main Street. A new light, sound, and projection moment will be coming to Carthay Circle and Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure. The decor was not updated much, except to turn it into a jazzy looking speakeasy. News: An iconic part of Disneyland history – and Disney in general will be getting refurbished soon. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room closed this week to perform routine maintenance on the lighting, sound, and show. The mighty tree of Tangaroa will be recreated from a high resolution digital scan. The current Tangaroa is no longer able to be repaired, having been there since the attraction opening in 1963. Starting on May 22, 2026, guests will have more control over their experience piloting the Millennium Falcon. Crews will be in charge of the destination that they travel to. New locations like Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor, or Coruscant will be options. The engineers will also be able to communicate with Grogu. Recently, two schools in Brentwood, Disney cast members and VoluntEARS put on these events – to over 900 students. Two people who lost special items in the fires got a version of them back. One eight-year-old lost her giant stuffed Tigger in the fire, Disney replaced it with one that had traveled around Disney’s Animal Kingdom. News: We are still almost a year away from the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2026, but there are some new details that were released this week. The weekend will take place during the 70th anniversary celebration “Celebrate Happy” and will be called the “Celebrate Happy” Half Marathon Weekend. The dates are January 29th through February 1st, 2026. The 5k “Celebrate Joy” race will take place on January 30th, the 10k “Celebrate Imagination” race will take place January 31st, and the “Celebrate Togetherness” half-marathon will round out the weekend on February 1st. Racers who complete the 10k and half-marathon will get the “Celebrate Achievement” medal. Pride Nite – in our opinion one of the best after hours events – tickets will go on sale April 16th for Magic Key Holders, and April 17th for general admission. Doors open at 5:30pm and the film begins at 7pm. The event is scheduled to last 2 hours and 40 minutes, including the intermission and Q&A. When the location reopened recently from its refurbishment, there was a temporary sign covering the popcorn lights underneath. What you may not know is that it is much older than that! News: The Disneyland 70th Anniversary is bringing with it a refreshed dining package for World of Color Happiness! The specifics of the package have not been released, but the Disney Eats Instagram page showed the new food offering. There is also a similar dining package offering for Better Together A Pixar Pals Celebration parade. It looks to include not only sweet desserts, but also meats, crackers, and cheeses. This is a larger “key” that can be used to unlock the 9 lands of Disneyland to reveal a hidden keepsake pin inside the key. There are 9 pins possible. The lands can be unlocked in one visit, or over multiple visits as your progress is saved between visits. Guests will be able to vote on the Disneyland app for one of the four emotions – Sadness, Anger, Disgust, or Envy – to have them featured in the World of Color Happiness show that night. A new tour called “A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour will be available. The tour is two hours and explore the history of Disneyland. Bookings start on April 24th. Some new interactions and effects are coming for MagicBand+ around the resort, and new PhotoPass magic. Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! starts on May 16th at the Disney Theatre in Hollywood Land, the Pixar Pals Playtime Party at the Fantasyland Theatre starts May 23rd, along with Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast in Tomorrowland. Rex will be out on Pixar Pier starting June 1st. – DISNEYLAND UPDATE: Dance Parties, Demolition & The Competition Awakens This week, the first of the Star Wars Nites at Disneyland is taking place. If you are wanting to attend this event, there are still tickets available for all the nites, except for May 4th. Some new food items are also coming to the event – DISNEYLAND UPDATE: Dance Parties, Demolition & The Competition Awakens The new National Geographic Hulu and Disney+ show “Secrets of the Penguins” has a photo op inside of Disney California Adventure. One of the Red Car Trolleys has been donated to the foundation to support their mission of helping students discover STEM and STEAM careers. We have been watching the videos of their experiences and it looks absolutely amazing!
