Leave me alone.

I don't want anything to do with the spiritual or supernatural. Steve walked away from that stuff long ago.

Steve told his wife that God, religion, that's your thing. I'm not reading the Bible. Leave me out of it. I want no part of it. Even after she was healed, in an instant.

Leaving faith so long ago, Steve never thought he'd come back. Then, questions. Of life, of more, his job as a First Responder, as a police officer made him question all that is and could be. But He wasn't heading back to church. There had to be something different.

Crystals, meditation, light, freedom, what's out there? What is God? Where is He? But nothing satisfied. Nothing held. Nothing filled.

His wife's sadness, depression, he wasn't sure how to help. Then, one day, it was gone. She had life. What happened? Medications? Life change? Spells, crystals, chance?

No. She told him, she'd been reading the Bible. Oh, and she reached out to Christ to be a part of her life. But Steve didn't have to. She wouldn't force it. She just wanted him to know.

Steve wasn't having any part of it. Until he was. Until like a Christmas morning something happened.

And he, and his family, would never be the same.
