Without other feminists who came before us, we wouldn’t have a lot of the same choices and freedoms we have today. Lots of men tend to steer away from feminism because they tend to believe that feminism = “we hate men”. The truth is, feminism needs men’s support to work because of the unequal power structures in lots of patriarchal societies. In this episode we talk about hegemonic masculinity and how it negatively affects not just women, but also men and their perceptions of themselves.
