  • Previously Recorded on July 14, 2023 - The Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG•AFTRA) officially join the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Strike, uniting the Artists as one in this historical battle to save the Entertainment Industry and our jobs as a whole. This hasn’t happened for over 60 years now, proving, once again, that we are in the new modern 1960s in 2023 with very similar issues in society. But what does that mean exactly? Why are they deciding to strike and what does that mean for your favorite tv series, video games or other entertainment into the future? The Power of the People is more powerful in Solidarity than corporations will ever be and this, like many other industries in this country, is a Labor issue. Clips from CBS news and a PBS interview with Tom Hanks helps to explain the confusing times we’re now in and the cohosts of The Late Night Lockdown help explain along the way since this is literally happening to them as we speak.
