Episode 10: Poetry: Expressions

  • サマリー

  • In this episode, I share a short poem that I wrote in 2010, Expressions. Expressing your emotions can be difficult at first but the result is liberating. I believe that when we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. Emotions give meaning to the story and paints a descriptive picture to what we are trying to express. I offer a few reflective questions at the end.

The Dr. Alisha Podcast features Dr. Alisha Rorer, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Atlanta, GA, engaging in conversations about life, love, and relationships that will inspire, enlighten, and help you connect to yourself and others. "What's the lyrics" is my metaphoric approach to unpacking all the things in between the lines.  Please note that this podcast should not be a replacement for therapy. For information about how to find a therapist, see the links in the description.
