Episode 19: Tender Headed - On the Low! Scabs, Redness and Dandruff - Results of the Creamy Crack
Host: Lisa. E.
EPISODE SUMMARY
This podcast is dedicated to celebrating the journey of black women to embrace their natural hair, with our host, Lisa. E, aka Natural Born Sistah, who inspires black women to groom and confidently flaunt their natural hair.
In this episode with Lisa E, Natural Hair Mentor and Enthusiast, talks about her experience with relaxing her hair and the results of it. Although the results were not something she wanted, she continued getting the creamy crack every 4-6 weeks despite the scabbing, redness and dandruff she would attain as a result of continuous touch ups.
Lisa E. also breaks down who discovered this hair invention and holds him accountable to a degree based on the negative effects it can cause to your bodies. This inventor, Garrett Augustus Morgan created this hair game changing formula in the early 1900s for men and women who wanted to straighten their hair. Not for reasons of manageability, but for society. Now this game changer has negative effects on the black community and the only way to stop these negative effects, is to wear your hair natural.
