Welcome to a special series ‘Conversations That Count’ featuring Singapore-based professionals. This sunny island has been my home since 2009, so I’m excited to shine a spotlight on the inspiring residents I share this sunny island with!

    About our guest:

Nadiya is a Media professional, helping brands in designing comms and media strategies that work towards achieving their marketing, business goals and growth.

She has worked with a diverse, cross-section of people throughout her career for over 18 years across media agencies and with brands, in local, regional and global teams.

She’s lived and worked in the UK, Indonesia and most recently Singapore. Throughout her career, she has always championed the value of understanding people and culture. She is passionate about and a firm believer that (especially in media and advertising) the people behind the work are as important as the work itself.

Nadiya thrives when helping to empower people to show up as the best version of themselves at work. To quote her: “The results are incredibly rewarding in a human-sense, but also happen to make a lot of business-sense”

In this episode, Nadiya shares personal experiences and valuable insights on recognizing the signs of burnout, setting boundaries, and the importance of self-compassion in communication.

She talks about the impact of technology, the need for clear communication, and the significance of understanding one's limits.

You will gain practical tips on when to say no, how to delegate effectively, and the role of compassion in fostering healthy communication practices.
