Episode 8: How to Communicate a Healthy Apology

  • サマリー

  • In this episode, I discuss how to apologize with genuineness, empathy, and validation. One common struggle that I found in my work with couples in therapy, is their inability to apologize. Some people find it difficult or refuse to take accountability for their actions. They play the victim or minimize the magnitude of the problem. Learning a healthy way to communicate your apology and accept an apology is a foundational tool in any type of relationship.

The Dr. Alisha Podcast features Dr. Alisha Rorer, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Atlanta, GA, engaging in conversations about life, love, and relationships that will inspire, enlighten, and help you connect to yourself and others. "What's the lyrics" is my metaphoric approach to unpacking all the things in between the lines.  Please note that this podcast should not be a replacement for therapy. For information about how to find a therapist, see the links in the description.
