  • Breaking Free of the Rules
    2022/11/14

In this episode, Therese shares the journey she's been on to listen to energy and notice what pulls her in to business offerings, and also to what feels like it's ready to be retired.

Truth is, we are taught to follow certain marketing rules. We are conditioned that we should charge "x" amount and go after high ticket clients to position ourselves. We are shown formulas and blueprints that have worked for some savvy marketers, but what if they don't serve you or your soul's mission in the world?

Therese talks about creating her new Activate Community membership. The way she started it flies in the face of conventional marketing wisdom!

With ZERO sales page, not even a name, and no emails sent, Therese made the decision to open up the community to 20 "founders." She shares how she made personal invites and has grown the community simply from that.

This show is very inspirational if you have ever dealt with having to be perfect, get all the pieces in place before you can act, and have felt like you are held hostage to the old ways of doing business. You will get tons of permission to follow your energy in saying yes to things, and also letting things go.

Therese's path is to always be listening to the guidance of her soul, and when it takes her to new territories, she models how she navigated that so that you too can do the same.

  • Living Life Outside Your Comfort Zone
    2022/11/07

Therese Skelly is a former psychotherapist who has 20 years in the coaching industry, and now blends her deep knowledge of psychology/mindset with business coaching and wildly accurate business intuition.

In this episode she shares about pushing the edges of her comfort zone and what that taught her.

Since she’s writing a chapter for a book, she sought the services of a creativity/writing coach. Hearing the stories Therese was sharing, the coach invited her to participate in a “Story performance” in a few weeks.

Deciding to share a very intimate story, Therese “went for it.” The story was not a “safe” one to tell like the time she went on vacation. No. It shared about past abuse, trauma, and overcoming what had been done to her by saying yes to something.

The zoom performance was exhilarating, and at the end, the idea of being waaaay out of her comfort zone was quite transformative. (Plus she got great feedback on the quality and courage of her performance and people shared with her that her story helped the as well.)

Therese shares how being “comfortable” is something we strive for, but ultimately doesn’t create expansion and growth.

This show will inspire you to take more risks, play in creative energy, and live more richly.

Want to tell your own story? Need some help with writing or performing? Check out the fabulous coach who helped Therese, Terrie Silverman of https://www.creativerites.com

  • Steps to Tangible Transformation with David Richman
    2022/10/31

David is an author, public speaker, and endurance athlete whose mission is to form more meaningful human connections through storytelling. Over the last 10 years, David has completed over 50 triathlons, including 15 Ironman-distance triathlons (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, 26.2-mile run), more than 50 runs longer than marathon distance, including several 24-hour runs, and most recently biking 4,700-miles in just six weeks as he met with the participants of his upcoming book exploring the emotional side of cancer.

In this episode, David shares that years ago he was in an abusive, unhealthy marriage with small children. On the outside he had it all. Money, success, and nice trappings. But he was married to an alcoholic so felt stuck, victimized, and didn’t understand what he was doing wrong or how to get out of this. He was an overweight, sedentary smoker. It wasn’t until his friend got real with him and said, “Quit blaming everyone one else…You are the problem!”

This was the hard truth that he needed to hear so he could begin to change his life. This forced David to start what would become his healing journey. He began slowly to discover who he was, and from here began to take small steps to create the new and healthier version of himself.

David's fitness journey is inspiring! And it started by setting small goals initially, then having the mindset of “what can I learn” if he pushed himself. He found he could go farther and farther, and it slowly turned into something that today defines who he is. He also lost his sister to cancer, so he set about to help those with cancer and today has written a book about cancer survivor stories.

You will enjoy David’s easy going way of sharing his three steps to create change. He speaks from the heart, is not afraid to share the vulnerable stuff, and is doing really good in the world.

David Richman is an author, public speaker, and endurance athlete whose mission is to form more meaningful human connections through storytelling. His first book, Winning in the Middle of the Pack, discussed how to get more out of ourselves than ever imagined. With Cycle of Lives, David shares stories of people overcoming trauma and delves deeply into their emotional journeys with cancer. He continues to do Ironman triathlons and recently completed a solo 4,700-mile bike ride.
