Host Patricia Gentile welcomes guest, Charles R. Markham MST, EA, CPA, USTCP

Charles earned his undergraduate degree from M.I.T. in 1984 and a Masters of Science in Taxation from Bentley College in 1995.
After college, Charles worked as a Management Consultant for Bain & Company and was also an Investment Analyst for John Hancock Venture Capital.
Charles began his tax career over 30 years ago as an Enrolled Agent. In 2015, Charles passed the US Tax Court’s bar exam which allows him to represent taxpayers in the US Tax Court. Charles recently became
a CPA in Virginia and Florida.
Charles’ practice consists of both tax preparation for around 400 clients annually and a tax problem resolution practice.
For over 10 years, Charles has been engaged by the IRS to write and review test questions for the Enrolled Agent licensing exam.
Charles was elected to the National Association of Tax Professionals national board of directors in 2021 and re-elected in 2024 and currently serves as Treasurer.
Charles was selected by FINRA, the Financial Regulatory Authority to serve as an Arbitrator to hear securities industry disputes.
