We know the pace of change has increased, but not only due to the pandemic. The need to review workplace skills began with the rise of automation, which is increasingly replacing many tasks, and sometimes entire jobs. To be truly effective, HR departments will need to think beyond skills training, and focus more on integrating learning and development with their talent and recruitment functions for a holistic view to support future skills planning.
