This week we look at the disparity between our heart and God’s heart and how it can get in the way of our relationship with Him. We explore the beauty of God’s heart towards us depicted throughout scripture and see how we can approach him as a result.

We look at how the triune God loves us perfectly even when we mess up! God the Father chose us to be adopted into his family, He made a way through his Son dying for us, and He sends his Holy Spirit to empower us to live for him.

We have choices and responsibilities for our physical and our spiritual health. Paul’s passion is for each of us to be spiritually healthy and grow to maturity in Christ. This is God’s best for every single one of us.

The writer of Hebrews encourages us to look to Jesus – the author and perfector of our faith and its through this lens that we find both the purpose and the power to run the race well.

Our devotion to Jesus grows as we grasp the extent of all that He has done for us.

Habakkuk saw the injustice in his nation and had questions for God. God sometimes exercises his sovereignty in baffling ways and yet he doesn’t want us to deny the injustice we see around us. In his mercy, he invites us to bring our questions to him.

There is a lot of upheaval happening in the world at the moment and our political scene was similar to Habakkuk’s time. He asks God the same questions we do: where are you, God? Why? So, how we handle these questions as faithful Christians?

God tells Habakkuk to write down an eternal truth that there are two types of people in the world – those who, like Babylon, trust in themselves, and those who trust in God. The righteous are those who put their faith in God the righteous shall live.
