In this Interview I sat down with Norfolk VA basketball legend Desmond "DEZ" Lee. Where we discuss his upbringing coming up in Roberts and Mouton Park, when did he get his start and sports, being recruited by ever high school in Norfolk to come play basketball. Choosing Booker T Washington High were he was a 2 sport superstar in Football playing quarterback and safety and basketball where he won a state championship and ever year playing in the state tournament and becoming all tidewater in basketball. We also discussed his journey to having to go to prep school and juco because of test scores and eventually becoming JUCO all American and top 5 recruit in the nation at New Mexico Junior College, which lead Dez to signing a scholarship with NC STATE Wolfpack over 15 other Division 1 programs. At NC STATE he started in 20 games his first year to having to play a sixth man role his senior year and playing a key role into upsetting the Villanova wildcats in the NCAA tourney to make the sweet 16. The same Villanova team with Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart and other NBA players that later went on to win back to back national title. Vinston Painter 6'5 315 former NFL Lineman from Norfolk VA, who didn't start playing Football until his 9th year in High School at Maury High School in Norfolk Virginia. Turn into a 4 star Offensive Lineman/Defensive Line in 2010 who was an All American, All State, All Tidewater Player who was recruited by every top school in the Nation from the likes of 2010 NCAA National Champion Florida Gators with Tim Tebow, to LSU, Georgia, and Virginia Tech. Signing to Virginia Tech over all those other school and not starting until his last year to getting invited to the NFL combine finishing in the top 5 in all categories for offensive lineman, running a blistering 4.85 40 yard dash at 315 getting drafted in the 6th round at 173 to the Denver Broncos and playing in Super Bowl 47 on a team lead by Peyton Manning and Von Miller to moving around for the next 6 years to the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, Washington Commanders to his last stop in Arizona Cardinals to now being a Owner of 3 Cannibus Dispensary in the DMV area ....
