Today’s message is: Sometimes, you have to lose yourself to find yourself.

In Today's epistle to the Galatians (2:20), Paul writes “I have been crucified with Christ. True, I am alive; but it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. The life that I am now living, although it is still in the flesh, is a life which is lived in faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” 

Similarly in today’s Gospel according to Mark (8:36), Jesus says, “Whoever seeks to save his life shall lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and for the sake of the gospel shall save it.” 

This episode explores the Christian paradox of how a loss can actually be a gain. Sometimes, you have to lose who you thought you were to find who you really are.
