A poor parishioner of Mr. Beddome was entrusted with the care of the gentleman’s horse during the meeting. As he waited, he found out the reason that the Londoner had come calling. He became so agitated that he brought the animal to Mr. Beddome’s door and said to no one in particular in a loud voice, “Robbers of churches are the worst sort of robbers!”

She went after Christ, denied herself, and took up her cross to follow Him; then came the trouble.
