Episode 25:24 Does High Cholesterol REALLY Cause Heart Disease???
For years we’ve been told that high levels of cholesterol led to heart disease.
We’ve also been told that lowering high cholesterol levels, primarily through the use of statin drugs, would decrease our risk of developing heart disease.
In both cases, what we’ve been told is wrong.
The truth is much different.
You see, while taking a statin drugs WILL lower your cholesterol levels, they will NOT lower your risk of developing heart disease,
Seriously.
So, why have we been lied to?
More importantly… what’s the truth?
That is, what DOES increase our risk of developing heart disease and WHY have we been lied to about the “cholesterol - heart disease connection?”
On this episode I address these questions.
Be sure to give it a good listen and, as always, share it with a friend.
Thanks!
