このコンテンツについて
This is episode number 04 of Breaking Silence Part One. In this episode I sat with Governor Joseph Bakasoro. Honorable Bakasoro is a former governor of Western Equatoria State in South Sudan. Governor Bakasoro was a prominent member of the SPLA/M during the two decades war that ended in 2005 by signing Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) that resulted in Secession of South Sudan in 2011. In 2015, he was removed by President Salva Kiir in a presidential decree and shortly was detained for several months at the national Security Service detentions. After so many calls from the human right and civil society organizations, he was released April 26th, 2016.
In the two part series Governor Bakasoro talked about the past and the current situation in South Sudan and also gave his view on how to move the country forward. .
