    This is the initial show for my Podcast Sound Threads. Its a short one at only three and a half minutes long, but, I thought it required an introduction is in order.

    Each week, Sound Threads will look at music from three angles. First, I'll look at the larger picture such as music's very earliest beginnings. I'll cover some great artists and songwriting, and later in on, I'll take a look in depth at the music industry of today. In the second part of the show, I'll play one of my acoustic country songs. And thirdly each show will follow a story about a musician as he rises from obscurity, and gains fame and fortune. Hope you will join me each week for Sound Threads.

    Some musicians are able to make their songs and playing stand out. Is there a secret to getting good "tone" out of an instrument? Also today, I'll play the song You Were Home to Me. I wrote it about my late mother when she passed, but it's also meant to be a tribute to all the great Mom's out there. They can be the most important person in our lives. And finally, our story. Freddie Spaghetti is becoming bored with the songs he is learning, and so he looks for some new songs to play.
