• City Hall will be closed July 4th for Independence Day, reopening Monday, July 7th at 8am

• K-9 Officer Corey Hoard recognized as Waynesville Police Department Officer of the Year
• Free City of Waynesville app available on Android and iOS devices provides emergency alerts and city announcements
• City aiming for 2000 app downloads by year-end as part of communication strategy
• Fireworks permitted July 3-5 between 8am-10pm on private property or designated park areas
• Old Settlers Day 2025 scheduled for July 26-27 featuring Civil War reenactments, music, and community activities
• Reminder that placing signs in the traffic circle at Highway T and 17 is prohibited
• Safety reminders for the holiday weekend include driving slowly through neighborhoods, buckling up, and avoiding phone use while driving
