Lately, customers have been responding to frustration with businesses by lashing out at the employees they are face to face with, while many businesses have been falling short of their promises to customers. A great example of this cycle is the Southwest Airlines fiasco of this past winter, which left customers without the support they were owed. Like all other private companies who run social media platforms, TikTok requires personal data collection to operate.
