In this episode, listeners learn about TEPEZZA® (teprotumumab-trbw) infusions and the process of getting an infusion. Real TEPEZZA patient, Bridget, and infusion nurse, Stephanie, discuss what to expect on infusion day and how to prepare, while also answering the questions people living with Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) often ask before starting their treatment. For more information about TEPEZZA and TED, visit TEPEZZA.com and follow the TEPEZZA Facebook and Instagram communities. To find a TED Specialist in your area, visit TEDSpecialist.com. TEPEZZA is a prescription medicine used to treat Thyroid Eye Disease. TEPEZZA may cause infusion reactions; symptoms include high blood pressure, redness of the face/feeling hot, fast heartbeat, difficulty breathing, headache, or muscle pain. These are not the only side effects possible. Patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and hyperglycemia should be monitored. TEPEZZA may cause severe hearing problems including hearing loss, which in some cases may be permanent.
