Interview with Author Ashley Eddy

  • サマリー

  • In today's episode, we're going to interview Author Ashley Eddy. Ashley was born and grew up in Sulphur, Louisiana. She and her husband moved to Texas in 2009 where they have lived in the Houston Metro area ever since. Together they have three children, two boys and one girl, all born in Texas.

Ashley started writing poetry and short stories in elementary school. Despite the encouragement of her teachers and family, Ashley never sought to publish her work.

After her second son was diagnosed with Autism at age 2, she started to write again as a way to keep track of her son’s progress. When she wrote the poem “I am normal and so are you”, she never expected to publish it. Now she has taken it a step further and it is also published in Spanish, ‘¡soy normal y tú también!’

With one more children’s book and a novel in the works, Ashley works with the PTA, volunteers with Disability Book Week, and still has time to play at the park after school every day.
