The 2024 summer blockbuster season is officially underway! Sho gets into George Miller's latest entry into the Mad Max universe with Furiosa (4:50) and Glen Powell and Richard Linklater's latest rom-com in Hit Man (15:40). He also takes a visit to the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (22:35), and takes a trip to Miami for Bad Boys: Ride or Die (31:16). Plus, to wrap, Sho gets to some mini-reviews of Atlas, The Fall Guy, and Unfrosted (44:41).

Sho is back for another year of Oscars reaction, and alongside him is Michael José Collins and Jake Schulz, hosts of the Cinemates podcast.

The guys discuss this year's Oscars ceremony, and get to the new start time, Jimmy Kimmel's job as host, who could potentially host in the future, and favourite bits. Plus, they chat about the movies themselves, including the night's big winners alongside some potential snubs.

Afterwards, they review the performances of both Austin Butler and Zendaya as Dune 2 is finally out in theatres.

Sho gets into the two best episodes of Ahsoka yet, including what was essentially a live-action episode of The Clone Wars with the return of Hayden Christensen - how was it to see both Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader as portrayed by the same actor?

Plus, we are finally treated to the live-action debut of Lars Mikkelsen's Grand Admiral Thrawn - was it everything we imagined? Sho gets into his introduction, the idea of 'kintsugi' in the Night Trooper armour, and the lore re-imagining of the Dathomir Nightsisters.

Sho is back (again)! With the awards season beginning to get underway, he gets to some movies seen at TIFF in September, including Martin McDonagh's Banshees of Inisherin, Darren Aronofsky's The Whale - which includes a terrific turn from Brendan Fraser - and Rian Johnson's next installment in the Knives Out series, Glass Onion.
