Orphaned as a child, Chasta found comfort in the creativity, play, and catharsis of the performing arts. At her core, Chasta believes that every person has the power to reach their fullest potential and disrupt the status quo in an empowering, inspiring, and lasting way. Caylie is a wealth of knowledge, positivity, charm and great energy that has made her mark in the NYC dance world. An educator and a triple threat, she has worn many hats in her career. Today we talk a bit about what makes her tick, how to be your authentic self in the dance world, and all the other fun things that we get into on the podcast. Caylie Rose Newcom is a professional performer, associate, and dance teacher in NYC! Favorite NYC credits include: Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular (Swing, Asst Dance Captain), Noir, a new musical workshop and The Tony Awards 2023 where she performed in the Opening Number. Tours include the 1st National Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and FAME: The Musical. Some regional credits include performing at The MUNY, Paper Mill Playhouse, Casa Manana Theatre, North Carolina Theatre, Weathervane Playhouse, and the Palace Theatre.

Caylie has worked in Ensemble, Principal, Dance Captain, Understudy, Swing, Associate Choreographer, and Associate Director positions. She has taught at Marymount Manhattan College and Circle in The Square Theatre School. Caylie currently shares her joy for dance while teaching at AMDA!
