North East Cheer prides itself on being one of the longest established and largest programmes in the region, and with The Urban Factory being one of the largest cheerleading venues in Europe… you have landed in the right place!

With a successful past, North East Cheer have represented the UK at the 2010 and 2013 Worlds and competed at every Europe Championship between 2007-2015.

North East Cheer have recently represented the UK at one of the worlds most prestigious competitions, The Summit. The event was held in Florida in April 2019 and 43 local athletes from North East Cheer travelled out to compete.

ABOUT THE URBAN FACTORY

The Urban Factory is a bespoke training facility based in South Tyneside. Serving the whole North East we offer high-quality training in Cheerleading, Tumbling, Gymnastics, Parkour (Freerunning). In addition to a vast evening and weekend programme, we also offer school programmes, Pre-School Classes, parties and venue hire.

TUF is one of the largest training facilities in the country and we are incredibly proud of the work achieved. Our venue offers a full 9-panel cheerleading competition floor, a 7 panel sprung gymnastic floor, 6 panel matted floor, 1 fast track and 1 tumble track. We also have a purpose build parkour area. In addition to the above, she also have a range of soft play equipment.

The Urban Factory provides a fun, safe and inclusive environment for local families to enjoy a wide range of exciting and innovative activities. We hope our members build confidence, gain new friends and feel part of a fantastic network of local families.

We introduce to the three amigos of Rotherham Cheerleading Academy. What an absolute pleasure it was to invite these three along to have a chat in good old fashion Tune In Style.

Having first met these guys in Worcester at their first ever competition as a programme it was absolutely wonderful to see the bursting energy from every single athlete that ran, that's right ran through the doors when they opened. With turquoise and orange plats in their hair these guys really demonstrated what Cheer is all about!

In this episode we discuss how this programme went from just starting out not so long ago to be a thriving gym that is ever growing in membership. If you haven't already you are certainly going to want to connect with these guys and follow their journey throughout the seasons as there are big things to come on and off the mat.

What a delight it was to have a "long walk" with ex-cheerleader, Sam Thompson recently. Starting as trampolinist at a high level Sam was convinced by a friend to give Cheerleading a go. Now that was 13 years ago an what a journey he has been on. Competing all across the UK with the likes of Stars Elite and Coventry Dynamite to then venturing across the pond to compete on the worlds stage with Team England as well as a season with the California Allstars. There is not a challenge that this guy hasn't turned down.

Having realised it was time to step back from performing Sam has now turned is focus within the industry to educating the future generation of Cheerleading and thoroughly enjoying the new experiences he is creating for himself throughout the industry.

Another week, another fantastic guest! This time we had the pleasure of welcoming Jess Mortimer of East Coast Tigers onto JPAD Tune In to see what she and the rest of ECT have been up to, how they are moving forward and their plans for the future.

It's fabulous to see the different ways in which programs are run throughout the UK. East Coast Tigers are Scarborough's only competitive cheerleading programme. Re-established in 2016, the team now have their own dedicated training facility and 130 members spread over our competitive and recreational teams. ​

Their goal at East Coast Tigers is to provide a safe, positive environment for the young people involved. They pride themselves in being a tight family unit, where all new members are quickly made to feel like part of the family. Their athletes not only learn the skills involved in cheerleading, but also the value of teamwork, discipline, commitment and sportsmanship, which are skills that can be transferred into all aspects of their lives. Throughout the season their athletes create friendships like no other, all whilst having fun and working hard towards a common goal.

What a delight to welcome Natalie Lyons of Fantasy Cheer and Love Flexibility on JPAD TUNE IN. Was great to have a chat and catch her between bits and bobs because like you will see when listening in she is a very busy lady. 

Love Flexibility was created in February 2021 during the 3rd lockdown after their director and owner Natalie saw a huge demand in the market for safe stretching workshops and teacher training.

What an episode this was. We had the wonderful pleasure of welcoming Pammie Davis of Cosmic Flames from Wishaw, Scotland onto JPAD Tune-In recently.
