あらすじ・解説
In this episode of our podcast on the Book of Jonah, we explore the third chapter where Jonah finally obeys God's command and goes to the city of Nineveh. He delivers a stark message: in forty days, Nineveh will be overthrown due to their wickedness. Surprisingly, the people of Nineveh, from the greatest to the least, believe Jonah's message and immediately begin to fast and put on sackcloth as a sign of their repentance. Even the king of Nineveh humbles himself, issues a decree for everyone to turn from their evil ways, and hopes that God will show mercy. God sees their genuine repentance and spares the city from destruction. We'll discuss Jonah's reluctant obedience, the power of a prophetic message, and the profound impact of collective repentance. This chapter teaches us about the transformative power of humility and repentance, and God's boundless compassion and forgiveness. Don't forget to stay until the end where I will be answering a few questions from my audience. Check out new episodes every Monday and Friday!
