  • Addressing Lostness in Salvation instead of Hell Insurance | Episode 8
    2024/05/30

**We apologize for the poor connection quality, however we wanted to share this thought-provoking discussion with you anyway. Thanks for listening.**

Kingdom Citizenship podcast is joined this week by Pastor David Martin. This episode dives deep into the complexities of faith journeys, exploring alternative approaches to sharing the message of Christ.

We begin by questioning the traditional "lost" narrative. Is portraying everyone outside the church as "lost" the most effective way to connect with them? The episode explores the effectiveness of traditional preaching as a tool for conversion. Is there a more relational approach that resonates better with modern seekers?

We move beyond the labels of "Churchianity" and explore the diverse ways people connect with spirituality and higher power. The episode examines the concept of "Easy Believism" and the importance of fostering genuine faith development.

The conversation concludes by focusing on practical ways to execute ministry more effectively. How can we create spaces that foster genuine connection and spiritual growth, rather than simply pushing a pre-packaged message?

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion that challenges traditional approaches to faith and explores alternative methods for guiding others on their spiritual journeys.

  • What "radical" is with Dan Avery | Episode 6
    2024/05/16

This week on Kingdom Citizenship we dive deep into the word "radical" and its connection to faith. We explore its historical meaning and how it's been used throughout Christian history to vilify true Christians.

Many believers have been painted with the word "radical" in the pejorative sense. We can feel beat down, misunderstood, or offended by this labeling. However, the word is extremely positive. Dan Avery helps us "decode" the agenda behind the labelization often thrown around and he teaches us to "code switch." Listen through how to change the conversation from manipulation to feeling whole while getting back to primal truth.

History shows us a different kind of "radical Christian" – one who wasn't afraid to challenge the status quo and live according to their beliefs. We discuss the tension that arose when these "radical" Christians emerged, and how the established Church attempted to silence them.

Lastly we’re blessed to hear about Dan’s work as a biblical translator and his collaboration to write a modern day Bible with translations based on the original Greek and Hebrew.

  • Dualism in Christianity - The Cancer of Antichrist | Episode 4
    2024/05/02

This week we delve deep into the intriguing world of Dualism and its intersections with Anabaptist beliefs. We're joined by Chester Weaver, a passionate Anabaptist educator with a profound interest in Dualism. Journey with us as we uncover the historical roots of Dualism and its significance within Anabaptist ideology.

Discover why Dualism remains one of Chester's favorite topics and explore the pivotal role it played during the Reformation era. We discuss how dualism has infested what is thought of as church and corrupted the message of Christ and the ability to stand before a culture as a contrast to it. Chester Weaver shows how worldly ideas infiltrated the church early on and have continued to effect the church; even through the Reformation. If salvation does result in continued sanctifying in a person's life, where it plays into a group dynamic; such is the definition of a headtrip. This is NOT God's design. If we are going to stand in righteousness, prepare to be abused by all the people posing their religious ideals who are compromised. Headtrips do not deal with problems. They hide them and make you try and tolerate their problems.

Join us as we seek answers to the crucial question: How can we purge Dualism from our lives? Tune in for an enriching discussion filled with wisdom, historical context, and practical insights.
