Veteran milk presenter Abbie Herr and rookie Ashley Stockwell are preparing to deliver milk to the winner of the upcoming Indianapolis 500, continuing a cherished tradition.

Abbie Herr grew up on a dairy farm in South Whitley, Indiana, and now works at Herr Dairy in Noble County. Ashley Stockwell runs Stockwell Farms in Hudson, Indiana, with her husband. Both women are passionate about representing Indiana’s dairy farmers at this prestigious event.

The milk presented to the Indy 500 winner comes from Indiana dairy farms and is delivered fresh, taking only 48 hours from farm to store. The drivers have the option to choose between whole, 2%, and skim milk, which they select in advance through a milk poll.

On race day, Herr and Stockwell will ensure the milk is kept cold and secure until it is handed to the winning driver in Victory Circle. They are responsible for guarding the milk, ensuring that it remains untouched and ready for the ceremony.
