An artist who refuses to be pigeonholed, Piontek has managed to remain on the cutting edge while dipping his toes into various sub-genres. The Purple Disco Machine project first gained traction in 2009, rooted in a distinct Deep Funk-branded Disco House music style. Although the initial journey had its ups and downs, it was the 2013 release of "My House" that marked a turning point. The track topped the Beatport Deep House charts and became a defining moment that signaled his arrival in the mainstream. Purple Disco Machine's star really started to soar in 2018. A particular highlight was his ingenious reworking of "Male Stripper" by Man 2 Man called "(Dished) Male Stripper", that utilized one of many riffs from the iconic Loleatta Holloway. This remix effortlessly blended the camp of the original 90s techno track with a pulsating, contemporary beat, winning acclaim in both underground and mainstream dance clubs. It even earned a spot on our "Top Dance Songs of the Year" series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3I5SKItOWeI Beyond these accomplishments, he's showcased an exceptional range of adaptability. The artist has worked with a plethora of dance music's crème de la crème, from Jamiroquai and New Order to Faithless and Claptone. His transformative power as a producer has allowed songs by Hercules & Love Affair, Sigma with Paloma Faith, and even our personal favorite, Shapeshifters, to get a new lease on life on the dance floor. And it's not just his older works that keep us intrigued; he's also turned his creative flair towards newer chart-toppers. From the soulful beats of Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande's "Rain On Me" to the pulsing energy of Weiss' "Feel My Needs," his Midas touch seems to know no bounds. With each collaboration or remix, he reimagines the musical landscape, as seen with The Human League's "Don't You Want Me," Claptone & Mylo's "Drop The Pressure," and the latest offering, "Hypnotized," featuring Sophie & The Giants. Purple Disco Machine has crafted a unique Funky House style that seamlessly integrates into multiple genres. Far from being pigeonholed, his musical approach works wonders with pop anthems and underground House tracks alike. He has a particular affinity for Indie artists such as Hercules & Love Affair and Sophie & The Giants. This chameleon-like ability allows him to take any track, whether it's an iconic classic or an overlooked gem, and transform it into an irresistible dance floor magnet.

Each volume so far has been a lesson in Moran's unmatched versatility and influence, and this grand finale is no exception. His treatment of Torres' energetic vocals is more than just a remix; it's an electrifying sonic experience that elevates the track to a club anthem. But why stop there? He has the magical ability to inject a new life into any track, turning it into an inescapable dance floor magnet. Another hallmark of Moran's career has been his work with some of the industry's most soulful voices, exemplified by his remix of Rihanna's "Russian Roulette." His remix isn't just a twist on the original; it's a powerful reimagining that adds a pulsing, irresistible beat, transforming it into a bona fide dance-floor classic. If ever there was a tune to light up the night, it's Erin Hamilton's "The Flame 2008." In Moran's capable hands, the song is reborn into a sonic tapestry that flares with passion and groove. Moran has skillfully remixed a bevy of the era's most resplendent tunes, crafting a discography that reads like an exclusive guest list to our own Diva Hall of Fame. The need to enumerate these names is superfluous—they're all here, captured in the undulating grooves of his masterful remixes. Rather than segmenting Moran's prolific output over the past two decades, this volume opts for a rich blend, offering fans a seamless tapestry that spans 22 illustrious years. His career, far from waning, shows every sign of thriving, still pulsating with new energy. Let's talk about some songs that have been immortalized by Moran's magic touch. Take Oceana's "Body Rock" for example—a track that already has its merits but has been elevated to a whole new level under his skilled hands. Moran’s mix introduces an electrifying charge that makes the dance floor virtually irresistible. Or consider his reimagining of Deborah Cox's "Easy as Life," where Moran unravels the very fabric of the song and reweaves it with threads of auditory gold. The result? An anthem that beckons, ignites, and resonates in the soul. Rihanna's "Unfaithful" carries the emotional weight of its lyrics, but Moran adds an entirely new layer of complexity, giving the tune a unique twist that fits perfectly in any club environment. Then there's "Heaven's What I Feel" by Gloria Estefan, where Moran not only preserves the song's initial zest but also enhances it, infusing an extra dose of euphoria into its melody. And who could ignore his collaborative opus, "Magic," featuring the formidable Jennifer Holliday? This track is more than just a song; it's an experience, a wave of sounds that wash over you, leaving you drenched in its spellbinding allure. Songs by Diva Hall of Famers like Mariah Carey’s “Don’t Forget About Us,” Donna Summer’s “You’re So Beautiful,” and Cher's “Take It Like A Man” have also been graced by Moran’s inimitable style, further solidifying his place as a living legend in the world of dance music. What has become abundantly clear is that Tony Moran is not merely a producer or a remixer. He is an alchemist, skillfully transforming already exquisite tracks into new forms of sonic gold. His career, a shining beacon in the dance music universe, promises even more astounding works to come. With an illustrious career that boasts two Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart-toppers in 2007 alone—"Walk Away" featuring Kristine W and "Keep Your Body Working" featuring Martha Wash—Moran is no stranger to the pinnacle of success. To date, he's scored a staggering seven U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs number-one hits, punctuated by four chart dominators in the years 2016 and 2017. Don't mistake him as just another remix producer; Moran is the man behind iconic reimaginings of tunes from music royalty like Janet Jackson, Madonna, George Michael, and Mariah Carey, just to name a few. In the '90s, when luminaries like David Morales, Junior Vasquez, or Hex Hector were otherwise engaged, Moran was the go-to genius. His reputation ascended even further as the millennium progressed, filling the void left by Morales, Vasquez, and the reclusive Hector. Collaborations with Jody Den Broeder and Warren Rigg yielded anthems that have defined a generation. And let's get this straight—his '90s oeuvre was no mere stepping stone. His craftsmanship then was as impeccable as it is now, capturing the essence of the dancefloor while adding his own unique flair. His groundbreaking remix of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," replete with pounding tribal beats and electrifying synths, became an instant queer anthem, arguably even outdoing Hex Hector himself. Beyond remixes, Moran has also dropped albums featuring diva collaborations that were seismic events in their own right. The resultant club anthems were pure fire, drenching dance floors globally in euphoria and sweat. Moran's name drew colossal crowds worldwide, cementing him as one of the first 'Superstar DJs' alongside legends like Tiesto. Still riding high, Tony Moran continues to churn out chart-busting hits for artists like Jason Walker and Martha Wash. With his roots tracing back to the art of mixtape edits—much like what we at Party Favorz started with—it's a tremendous honor to welcome the multi-talented Tony Moran into our esteemed Legacy series. Volume 3 of this Legacy series is a kaleidoscopic journey through his remarkable catalog, blending the commercial with the underground in a way that only Rosario can. When you think of Ralphi Rosario, it's hard not to jump straight to chart-toppers like Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande's "Rain On Me" or the Black Eyed Peas' "RITMO"—both remixed by Rosario and rapturously received over the past year. But, Rosario's influence stretches far beyond these blockbuster hits. Take, for example, his remix of Cher's "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)," a splashy and effervescent tune that turns every dance floor into a vibrant spectacle. It's a refreshing testament to Rosario's genius: knowing just what a track needs to transform from good to iconic. Rosario's scope isn't just confined to the latest hits. Remember Barry Manilow's "Copacabana 2005"? Rosario's reimagining breathed new life into this classic, taking us on a sonic vacation to that mythical club where "music and passion were always in fashion." The collaboration between Rosabel and Jennifer Holliday on "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" is nothing short of iconic in the gay community and beyond. This power-packed anthem, originally from the Broadway musical 'Dreamgirls,' was given a transformative Rosabel remix that thrust it straight back into the spotlight. With Holliday's impassioned vocals layered over Rosabel's rhythmic, high-energy beats, the song becomes more than a show-stopping number; it becomes an emblem of resilience and self-empowerment making one of the all-time favorite gay anthems. This Rosabel remix is not just another track on a playlist; it's an auditory experience that uplifts, unites, and gives voice to the struggles and triumphs of the LGBTQ+ community. The song pulses through dancefloors and Pride parades alike, serving as an enduring testament to Rosabel's and Jennifer Holliday's indelible marks on both music and culture. Stevie Nicks' "Stand Back," another gem given the Rosario treatment, illuminates the diversity of his repertoire, showing he can adapt his style to bring out the best in rock-flavored dance tunes. Then, he'll pivot effortlessly to soulful classics like Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff," adding a contemporary spark without tarnishing the original's fiery essence. The intoxicating "F$ck Your Boyfriend (F.U.B.F.)" co-crafted with Frankie Catalano is another cornerstone that showcases Rosario's risk-taking and rebellious spirit. This audacious track has been a guilty pleasure for many and adds to the Rosario enigma.

As we continue to celebrate his expansive career, it's evident that whittling down decades of unparalleled artistry into just three volumes is a Herculean task. So, let's cut right to it, shall we? Our second volume seamlessly picks up from where the first left off, delivering an experience that touches on Ralphi's multi-faceted talents. Meanwhile, Ralphi's work on Kristine W's "Fly Again" and Jennifer Lopez’s "On The Floor" serve as testaments to his adeptness at bridging the gap between commercial pop and club culture. This series takes a moment to spotlight such work, encapsulating the vibrancy and diversity that only Ralphi and Rosabel can offer. A founding member of Chicago's trailblazing DJ collective, Hot Mix 5, Rosario helped lay the groundwork for the house music movement while he was still in high school. By 1987, his collaboration with Xaviera Gold on "You Used To Hold Me" had already secured its place as one of the seminal tracks in house music history—a catalyst for seismic shifts on dancefloors everywhere. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tava2f-qrfw Rosario's creative path took a transformative turn in the nineties when he teamed up with Miami's DJ Abel Aguilera to create Rosabel—a portmanteau of Rosario's surname and Abel's first name. This new venture marked Rosario's evolution from classic house to a more tribal, Latin-infused sound—a stylistic pivot he has honed to near-perfection over the years. As Rosabel, they layered their heritage and various musical influences into electrifying house tracks that became anthems for major artists. The duo's credentials are impressive, to say the least, racking up five #1 Billboard Dance Club hits. On his own, Rosario has amassed fourteen Top Ten Dance Club hits and two chart-toppers. And let's not even get into his epic list of remixes, which features the crème de la crème of the music industry—from Madonna and Beyoncé to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. The overwhelming majority of these artists have already found their way into our Diva Hall of Fame, a testament to Rosario's influence. Selecting from a staggering 60-plus hours of tracks was a monumental task. I aimed for the most iconic, diva-centric tracks, embracing both the nineties and the new millennium, and including some underground gems that have been queer club mainstays. The final result? Three exhilarating sets amounting to more than 8 hours of sonic bliss, capturing just a fraction of Rosario's immense catalog. These compilations don't claim to encapsulate Rosario's entire career, but they're a sublime starting point. It's a celebration of a music maestro who has shaped the house music landscape for the past four decades.
