Also disappearing that night was the track champion and leader of that final race, the infamous legend of Groovy Hollow, Bucky Blackwell. But now the track has been rediscovered, deep in the twisting woods of Commonwealth, Virginia. Bucky has returned, too, with his dangerously fast (and reckless) Halloween Machine, and he is dead-set on reclaiming his throne. Over the course of four years, Tommie finds herself entangled in a terrifying mystery surrounding Groovy Hollow and its infamous Halloween Machine. This novel is about the bond between daughter and father over the sport of auto racing and the various corruptions of the industry, some venturing into the realm of the supernatural.
