    A curious mind is an active one, and one that may be best suited for a career in Research. Dr. William Vicory is a Biomedical Engineer for the Dr. Sid E. Williams Center for Chiropractic Research here at Life University. He discusses his unconventional path toward academic research, how compelling questions compelled him to dig deeper and learn in a dynamic way. He is working on some exciting projects, including a sit-up model of PAT, our lovable 3D chiropractic mannequins.

  • Building up Women’s Basketball and Young Womens’ Confidence with Coach Ashawnte “Tae” Hawkins
    2025/05/08

    Coach Ashwante “Tae” Hawkins is a young and ambitious coach, entering her inaugural year as an Assistant Coach with Life U Women’s Basketball. Before arriving in Marietta, Hawkins spent three years in Talladega, becoming the associate head coach before the 2016-17 season. In her time with the Tornadoes, she helped the program to a 60-28 record and to consecutive GCAC regular season championships in 2016 and 2017, as well as the first GCAC Tournament Championship in program history. She is eager to bring her positive leadership to the Life U Running Eagles and encourage success and pride on and off the court.

  • The Road to ACCRAC and an Enriched Chiropractic Experience with Zelin Zhou

    Zelin Zhou has had an active year in chiropractic research. He participated in the 2024 Research Paper Symposium at Life University, received a scholarship as the winner of the 2024 National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) Annual Student Scholarship Essay Competition and recently presented at the 2025 Association of Chiropractic Colleges Research Agenda Conference (ACCRAC) held in New Orleans.   • Shaping and Marketing Your Personal Approach to Chiropractic, featuring Dr. Aryn Gabai
    2025/04/03

    Dr. Aryn Gabai, Life University Alumnus and Owner/Chiropractor for Pennington Family Chiropractic, takes a truly global view at the potential impact that chiropractic can have. Toward the end of school, he traveled with one of the first groups of students to deliver chiropractic care in a Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Zigong, China. Following his work in China, he interned at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland in the Department for Traditional Medicine working on documents that set standards for care in multiple fields of traditional medicine including Ayurveda, Thai Massage, Naturopathy and others. He treats the world as a never-ending classroom and playground, eager to learn and teach and grow.
