On this week’s show we are joined, once again, by Mister Tim Hacker, the creator and host of the Cryptic Chronicles podcast (crypticchronicles.com) who promises to take us on a journey to the darkest places within the forbidden nether-regions of the publicly available, artificially intelligent minds used to generate images from text. There, within the murky waters of the collective digital unconscious is said to lurk ghosts, demons and even cryptids of an order of life and consciousness we scarcely have begun to understand. From this new class of digital, supernatural hauntings comes the bloody red face of “Loab,” a ghost so prolific and frightening she took the world by storm in the Spring of 2022. In the free show we discuss the hideous Loab, how she was discovered and some frightening implications regarding the danger of artificially intelligent ghosts. In the extended version of the show we explore quite a bit deeper to find other AI-birthed cryptids before settling on what traditional demons correspond with Loab in magick and mythology.
