The Utah Jazz lost two incredible games this weekend against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns. While the losses stung, the incredible growth of the Jazz over the last week was the rousounding story of the weekend.

Last night the Utah Jazz half court offense couldn't get rolling but the Jazz showed the resiliance and fight that was the signature a year ago and were able to stay in the game with offensive rebounding and transition games.

Ochai Agbaji had an incredible defensive game bouncing between Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. The Jazz defense was much improved until the 4th quarter and the overtime.

The Utah Jazz 20 year old rookie Keyonte George has been a settling force for the Jazz in his three starts. The rightful order of the basketball universe seems to be intact with Keyonte George starting. It also has to do with how well Ochai Agbaji is fitting in with the starting group and how it has allowed Jordan Clarkson to return to being Jordan Clarkson.

The Jazz have had a defensive struggle this season and the last two games have been against the worst offensive teams in the NBA and it has allowed the Jazz to see where they can improve defensively.. The 4th quarters against Memphis and Portland are the best 4th quarters of the season for the Jazz.

It's night 2 of the in season tournament for the Utah Jazz after their win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Utah Jazz are 1-0 in group play and play the Portland Trailblazers who are also 1-0 in group play. The new Purple court and purple uniforms will be out today. David Locke, radio voice of the Utah Jazz and Jazz NBA insider, thinks this is exactly why the in-season tournament is a great idea.

The Jazz are having pick and roll issues. They run the most infrequent pick and roll and face the pick and roll the least but it is still a major part of the game and the Jazz need to get the pick and roll figured out. Keyonte George is a more natural pick and roll player than the other guard on the roster and he is beginning to get a feel for Lauri Markkanen whereas John Collins and Jordan Clarkson are beginning to have a combination.
