    It's game day for Arizona State Sun Devils football, but more importantly, it's the program's debut in the Big 12 Conference. The Sun Devils are in Lubbock, Texas to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders in what should be a high-scoring and exciting game. Kenny Dillingham will need his Sun Devils dialed into this game and not let the figurative or literal outside noise shake this team. Texas Tech has a high-scoring offense that the defense will be tasked with slowing down. However, the Red Raiders' defense is not great, so the Sun Devils' offense needs to find a way to go stride-for-stride with Texas Tech and ensure the defense isn't left high and dry. A complete performance from Dillingham's team will improve their chances for a victory and a 4-0 start to the year, but Arizona State Sun Devils football will need some guys to have standout performances to help. Cam Skattebo will likely be the bell cow for this offense again as Sam Leavitt continues to develop and improve. Shamari Simmons will lead a defense that is returning several key players including Prince Dorbah.     Arizona State Sun Devils football is about to open Big 12 Conference play, and it is no small task for Kenny Dillingham and his program to debut in their new conference. The Sun Devils begin their new era on the road against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. ASU and Texas Tech feel similar in their placement of the new Big 12 as they fight to emerge from the "limbo" that is the middle of the conference. Both programs have their strengths and weaknesses, but the Sun Devils have much more at stake in this game than the Red Raiders. For one thing, Arizona State Sun Devils football is trying to make their first-ever Big 12 Conference game a win, and being on the road makes that even more difficult. The Sun Devils are also out to prove a lot of people wrong after being picked to finish last in the Big 12 Conference and now with people claiming the team has been "lucky" to get this far as a 3-0 team. To get a win in Lubbock, Arizona State Sun Devils football has to control the clock on both sides of the football and needs Dillingham and the rest of the coaching staff t keep everyone grounded through the highs and the lows of this game.
