Based upon the symbolism and historical analysis, the four kingdoms of Daniel’s vision as recorded in Daniel 2:38-40 and chapter 7, are BABYLON: (612-539 BC) represented by the head of gold (2:32) and a lion having the wings of an eagle (7:4).

MEDO-PERSIA: (539-331 BC) represented by the upper body of silver (2:32) and a bear (7:5). GREECE: (331-63 BC) represented by the belly and thighs made of bronze (2:32) and as a leopard with four wings and four heads (7:6). And… ROME: (63 BC – AD 476).

The fourth kingdom is “unlike” the first ones, in that it surfaces in TWO phases.

The FIRST phase of this kingdom is represented by legs of iron (2:32 and an unspecified beast with iron teeth and bronze claws (7:7). This was the fierce Roman Empire which dominated the known world for hundreds of years, and was in power during the time of Jesus’ birth, life, death and glorious resurrection.

The FINAL phase is a “Revived Roman Empire” or “New World Order” which will come on the world scene in the days leading up to the End Times.

This fourth kingdom is a confederacy of nations, some weak and some strong – represented in the great image by the feet of part iron and part clay. And so, this image is a view of the whole of world history – showing the ruling kingdoms of the earth – and we are now living in the feet of this image!

It is important that Christians are watching, and looking for the signs of the End Times – for as God’s Word points out many times – those that “walk in darkness” will be taken by surprise (1 Thess. 5:4) – and that the Day (the Day of the Lord) will come upon unbelievers like a thief in the night. (1 Thess. 5:2; Mt. 24:43; Rev. 16:15)

In 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6, Paul expounds on these warnings: “For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord is coming just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction will come upon them like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then, let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.”

As those words resonate within our spirits, let us stay awake Beloved as the Holy Spirit continues to “lead us into all Truth.” And let us remain alert – paying attention to those things that are prophetically converging with “Last Hour” confirmation and “Be Ready” warning.

As the last minutes of the Last Hour continue to quickly tick toward the Midnight Hour, Paul the Apostle alerted us to the Rapture of God’s True Church which is the next main event on God’s Prophetic Calendar – with Paul’s encouragement in 2 Timothy 4:8 that there is great reward for those who long for the Lord’s Coming or as Paul also put it – our “Blessed Hope – in the midst of mockers who ridicule us.

Scripture is also very clear in its description of the Tribulation Period that will follow the Rapture – and the global empire of the Antichrist which will last for seven years but will be utterly destroyed by Jesus the Messiah at His Glorious Return at His Second Coming.

The Antichrist’s global reign has been in preparation as far back as the Garden of Eden when Satan convinced Adam and Eve to believe his lies and they became melded into his mutinous plans in which he was purposed to gain not only their worship – but the worship of the whole world.

As the “Great Antichrist Delusion” continues to captivate the people of earth, and his false prophets beguile with their cunning and deceptive persuasions, Salvation’s legitimacy is being put to the test as the wheat is being separated from the tares.

Part of the “Great Antichrist Delusion” brings with it the mindset that presents a casual and worldly picture of Salvation. It is promoted as something that is cheaply gained and tailored to whatever man wants it to be. It becomes a source of what he hopes to gain by joining its ranks, without any true recognition or devotion to the Lordship of Jesus the Christ Who alone can secure that Salvation Security – or any understanding whatsoever of how much it cost the Son of God to provide the escape from sin’s death that every man and woman in their fallen nature has been destined to. It, therefore, allows man to stay practiced in his sins without any consequences or the need to die to “self” so that Christ can live more fully in them.

It completely skips the need for repentance from those sins, and the “new birth” miracle that alone will guarantee entrance into Heaven with the Father.

As we move closer to the Rapture of God’s legitimate “born again” offspring, the Holy Spirit is about a Holy separation unto Eternal Life with His Call to “test yourselves to see whether you are in the faith…” (2 Cor. 13:5)

As ambassadors of God’s unadulterated Word of Truth and the reflections of the One Who is the True Light, we who are His “born again” offspring are a threat to the enemy’s plans to deceive the world. For he is purposed to draw as many as he can into his counterfeit kingdom that is comprised of deadly falsehoods and false illumination which is really death’s darkness that Satan presents as an “angel of light” - but that, in reality, leads the deceived ones to Hell’s abyss and an eternity apart from the God of Love.

That is why the Holy Spirit is alerting the people of God to be on guard lest we fall into the deceptions of the enemy that can derail us from our sacred calling, with Holy Spirit discernment being our teacher and guide. For time is truly running out – and Jesus comes quickly!

As the revisited Days of Noah and the Days of Lot that Jesus describes in Luke 17:26-30 unfold all around us with dramatic prophetic confirmation that we truly are living in the last seconds of the "Last Hour," most of the world - and much of the Church - is blatantly unaware of how close we really are to the Rapture of the Lord's Redeemed ones and the Tribulation Period which will follow close behind.
