Mental Health & Dance vs Toxic Family Value [/w Tips] - Venture Casually #3 - Ft. Shareef Alwarasneh

  • サマリー

  • Overcoming looming family traditions and restrictive cultural values is a very difficult task. Finding the separation and balance between the self and the family can be extremely stressful, draining, and can feel like a very lonely road. However, we're not alone in these thoughts and feelings; there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Let's hear it from Shareef, who hailed from a very stringent Arabic background and toxic and judgemental family relations, as he continues his journey of self-discovery and self-love. Follow along, as he explains his cultural background and how he chose his own mental health and happiness above all else, all while busting some fresh moves on the dance floor!

Shareef had to break through seemingly impossible barriers for the sake of his self-expression and mental health. In response to these challenges, he graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and is currently working on his Master's in Mental Health Counseling. He aims to empathize with each client's unique circumstances and give them a place of understanding as they battle the struggles that once plagued him, as well as many others. He hopes his efforts can contribute to connecting the world and get different groups of people to come into communication and understanding of one another. In this crazy world,  moments of love and understanding are much appreciated.
