  • The Hidden Dangers of Unprocessed Grief & What NOT to Do with Kids
    2024/11/08

How do you grieve a hurricane or natural disaster?

    Is grief good?

Should you cry in front of your kids?

Check out this interview on the Mother Tree network podcast hosted by Aminata Desert Rose Plant Walker Fire Woman aka Dr. Amanda Kemp.

Josea warns listeners about the Hidden Dangers of Unprocessed Grief and how it can harm families and cause war and genocide.

Grief can feel like a hurricane; be sure to get support from a community or a therapist.

Grief expert Josea Crossley tells us healthy grief is all about letting energy move!

You can move energy by dancing, laughing, yoga, and crying.

The key is to feel a little at a time, as you go AND to join safe and consensual spaces with others who can hold you while you grieve.

Emoting all over the place can harm others (such as children).

Find out what to do with Big Feelings!

    Unexpressed grief is dangerous!

It can destroy families and undermine your dreams.

The energy it takes to suppress grief, is energy that you don’t have to give to your children or grow your business.

It can show up as resentment, unworthiness, or feeling scattered.

  • How to Heal with Ancestors, Sirius Star Seed, and Art with Rosemary Reyes
    2024/07/05

How do you know if your ancestors are trying to get your attention?

What does it mean to be shamana or a shaman?

Is the Sirius Star System sending messages via pop music and Lee Harris’ the Z’s?

These are just some of the questions Mother Tree Network podcast host Aminata and special guest Rosemary Reyes consider in this gripping conversation.

Trigger alert–There is some mention of gun violence and a stalker.

Come to Healing Ancestor and liberation master class!

Rosemary Reyes is a shamanic practitioner and visual artist that employs animation, collage, drawing, and painting as sacred practices to communicate with ancestors. By engaging sacred and ritualistic indigenous practices to produce psychedelic imagery, the result is an attempt to unite her stratified ethnic origins and to transform the devastating legacy of colonization in the Caribbean into something beautiful and playful that looks to the future with a generous measure of optimism. She recently exhibited a show of large-scale collages at Lightforms Art Center in Hudson, NY. Follow her on Instagram: mermami

  • Juneteenth, Ancestors, & Foster Care
    2024/06/19

“The real kids don't have to work for love. It's us fake kids who got to be out here proving ourselves so that we don't get kicked out.”

Juneteeth is comin up! How will you honor this holiday, celebrating the emancipation of Black people after the Civil War?

In the latest episode of Mother Tree Network, I offer my Juneteenth reflections on Ancestors, Foster Care, and forgiveness.

I give you my intimate thoughts after sitting with Juneteenth in my body.

Here are three ways You Can Celebrate and Reflect on Juneteenth for people of all backgrounds:

    • Acknowledge your capacity for horror and extraction. Befriend these aspects of yourself; find out what they need so they don’t have to cause harm to get your attention.

    • Tap into your ancestors and ask for their message. It's an important step towards healing and understanding the significance of Juneteenth.

    • We belong to each other. The illusion of not belonging comes from colonization, but we can heal by connecting to earth and all of our relations. This is not conceptual. Go outside!

Tune in to hear more inspiring insights!

  • No More Revenge: Subtle Activism for Peace and Justice in Gaza and Israel with Anna Gatmon
    2024/06/07

In this intimate conversation, Anna Gatmon and I delve into the trauma experienced by nations, specifically Israel and Gaza, and how individuals like you and me can use to subtle activism to shift global consciousness towards peace and wholeness.

Subtle activism is all about using meditation, prayer, and focused intention to tap into the collective consciousness for guidance and then taking inspired action. It's a way of making a difference on a deeper, non-physical level.

Our conversation revolves around three questions:

    1. How do we tap into our highest selves when we're facing collective trauma, like the conflicts between Israel and Gaza?

    2. What is the Gaian Experiment and how can we use our free will to foster wholeness amidst suffering and separation?

    3. How can we apply subtle activism to big issues like the Middle East conflict, and how
does it help in healing and transformation?

    Anna’s Bio:

A former fashion model, Anna Gatmon, PhD, describes herself as a catalyst of transformation and spiritual guide. An engaging speaker with a unique life story, Anna has spent the last two decades on an inner quest into the workings of our world, the nature of reality, the significance of living through the current turbulent times, and the nature of suffering and transformation.
