    This is a two part episode.

    Devin, Sarah, and Tim head to Huntsville, Utah, to visit cousin Brenley and her family. After an amazing dinner with 2 types of salmon, and a small concert, the Andersens and the Burton's sat down to record the podcast.

    Brenley shares how she got her name, what her cousin number is, and who else was born the same year as her.

    She talks about her mission experiences, meeting her husband, Spencer, their courtship, and how he proposed.

    Spencer shares a story of his mission, and his side of the story with meeting Brenley. He talks about growing up in Huntsville, and how the prophet, David O McKay was also baptized in the same creek as him, located just behind their house.

    Brenley then shares memories that she had of Grandpa and Grandma Andersen, as well as cousins, aunts, and uncles.

    Sally and her three children visit Devin and Sarah's home for dinner before Sally sits down with Devin and Sarah for the interview.

    Sally shares some fun memories of her childhood, the time she got to spend with Grandpa and Grandma Andersen, as well as some of her favorite memories of cousins at the farm and in Arizona. Climbing trees, stealing roses, and eating cold cereal were some of her favorite memories.

    Sally talks about her children, and how she met her husband Chris. She shares their courtship story and how they got engaged. Then with permission from Sally, Devin shares a portion of Chris's Obituary.

    Devin then shares memories and stories that he gathered from Sally's siblings and parents before moving on to the final topic - "How temple work has influenced my life."

    Devin reminds everyone of the big family reunion in 2026, and then Sarah ends the episode by giving news about our infertility journey.

  • S1: Dean Part 1

    This interview is split into two parts. This is part 1

    Devin, Sarah, and Tim spend their vacation in Hawaii and while there, they stay at the Mission Home in Honolulu where their Uncle Dean and Aunt Colleen live.

    After staying there several days, Devin and Sarah get the opportunity to interview Dean and Colleen for a few hours in their lovely dining room. Dean and Colleen share their experience of being called as Mission Leaders in the Honolulu Hawaii mission and the miracles that took place for that to occur.

    Devin then asks Dean questions about his childhood and about his father. Dean shares many interesting and funny memories he had with Devin's father when they were younger, and then Dean and Colleen share memories of their youth and when they dated.

    Dean and Colleen share memories of Grandma and Grandpa Andersen, Devin's family, and several other memories before the end of this episode.

    Devin and Sarah record a short blurb to update people on their infertility journey, and how Annie is continuing to help by being attempting to become a gestational carrier for them.

  • 36: Cousin 40 - Dave
    2024/10/22

    Devin and Sarah head to American Fork to interview Cousin Dave and his wife Tricia. After having some ice cream and peaches, the Andersens sat down for the podcast at their kitchen table.

    Devin learns that Dave is named after an uncle and and grand uncle, who Dave's cousins are his same age, and his cousin number.

    We learn about his education, his mission, and his profession, as well as how he and Tricia met and got engaged.

    Devin then asks David 3 thought provoking questions before moving on to memories that Dave has of our extended family. Devin then shares many funny and interesting attributes, memories, and stories of Dave that he collected from Dave's mother and siblings. Whether crashing president Clinton's campaign speech, meeting Presidents Hinckley and Monson at Grandpa's funeral, embarrassing his sisters at home and at school, nearly crashing his car with his brother in Texas, teaching kids "the worst english word" on his mission, or standing up for what was right in law school, This episode is chalk full of fantastic stories.

    For the final topic, Dave chose to discuss religious freedom and the constitution. Devin did some death bed repentance and crammed in as much knowledge on the subject as he could before the episode began. They discuss The origins of The Bill of Rights and the constitution, the importance of religious freedom and how it allowed an environment for the restoration of the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as important historical and even current events that portray how religious freedom has been, and still is, attacked today.

  • 35: Cousin 30 - Ivalou

    Devin, Sarah, and Tim drive up to Farr West to visit Ivalou, Darren, and their wonderful family. After having a magnificent dinner at their Knights-of-the-round-esk dinner table, Devin and Sarah sit down with Ivalou and Darren for the interview,

    While setting up his equipment, Devin realized to his utter shock that he had forgotten an important piece of recording equipment. Despite the grave misstep, they continued on with the interview anyway. The odd audio recording is the result.

    Devin learns about the many nick names of Ivalou, and the origins of how they came to be. Ivalou tells of how she got her name, has a guess at her cousin number, and learns something new about the cousins her age. Ivalou talks about her education, and the many interests she took in her studies.

    Darren then regails the Andersens of how he met Ivalou, the fateful motorcycle ride that cemented their relationship, and the hilarious conclusion, or perhaps beginning, of their story once Darren proposed to Ivalou.

    You know the rest. Memories of Grandpa, Grandma, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Devin shares memories - blah blah blah. You get it.

    Devin asks a couple more questions just to keep things interesting

    Then the final topic that Ivalou shared was on health.

    Devin is too tired to think at this point... it's 2 AM and he should be in bed.

  • 34: Cousin 68 - Elise
    2024/10/06

    Devin, Sarah, and Tim go to Lake Shore, UT, to visit the Roberts family. After the Andersens are led around the farm by Dan and Elise's children, being introduced to the many dogs, cats, chickens, horses, goats, and the lone milk cow, they sit down for the Roberts' traditional Friday Night Home Made Pizza dinner. It was delicious!

    After dinner, Dan, Elise, Devin, and Sarah sit down to record the podcast. Devin learns the origins of Elise's name, how she and Dan met, got engaged, and the many interesting and hilarious stories surrounding their budding relationship when they were younger.

    Dan talks about his family, his mission, his education, and his business. Elise then shares many interesting and amusing stories about cousins in her youth. she talks about taking care of babies, memories of Grandma Andersen, babysitting, attending school with cousins, going on vacations and school trips with other cousins, and growing up on the farm with surrounding family.

    Devin then shares memories he gathered from Elise's Parents and siblings before moving on to the final topic.

    Elise decided to talk on vaccine safety awareness and the things that she's learned regarding that topic. Devin helps Elise walk through the many arguments made regarding the possible harmful effects of current vaccine protocols and the sources she recommends people research.

    Devin shares his own reservations about this topic and where he's coming from having his step-father pass away from covid before the vaccine became available. They do their best to have an amicable and well thought out discussion on the topic and Devin agrees to do more research and learn more about both sides of the vaccination debate.

  • 33: Cousin 24 - Keriann

    Devin, Sarah, and Tim arrive at the Barlows for dinner only to find that the Barlow's youngest biological daughter, Hazel, had grown up to look nearly identical to the Barlow's second oldest daughter, Maddie. Devin was very confused at first.

    After a delicious dinner of crepes, Sarah and Devin sat down with Keriann and Tom in their basement (With Emma and Maddie sitting close by) for the podcast.

    Devin learns about Keriann's name, the cousins that were born the same year as her, and even what Tom's cousin number would be if he were born an Andersen. Keriann talks about her mission, her education, and how she and Tom met. Tom tells about their first date, how they got engaged, and meeting the Kartchners for the first time. Aunt Kathy had asked him to share a poem. He replied by saying "Frost, or a Shakespeare Sonnet"?

    Tom shares a story from his mission before talking about his service in the Navy as well as his gratitude for the business he's received from the Andersen family at his Dermatology Practice in Saratoga Springs. Devin shares his experience of being a patient there recently.

    Keriann then shares memories of Grandparents, aunts and uncles, and of course, cousins growing up. Devin then shares the memories that he collected from her father and siblings. Tom also shares a delightful memory of meeting Aunt Phyllis when he and Keriann were engaged.

    For the final topic, Keriann and Tom spoke on being foster parents to their two, soon to be adopted girls, Salem and Priest. Devin asks several questions about that experience and what it's like being a foster parent.

    Tom then talks about Devin's podcast and how it could perhaps be improved or at the very least, how people should recognize that we are all amazing in our own ways and that we shouldn't be comparing ourselves to each other when we listen to each episode. Devin expresses his deep felt emotions about the love he has for his cousins and how he only wants to uplift and help cousins feel of their family's love for them.
