  • Body Dysmorphia w/ Rosalie
    2024/11/13

Does every mirror look like a funhouse mirror to you? Honestly, same. Good thing we're more than our bodies - but sometimes it doesn't feel that way. Body Dysmorphia is so much more than we think it is, and yet the term is thrown around more than a Juul at a fraternity. Rosalie chimes in as Morgan goes through some history and research behind Body Dysmorphic Disorder - and they even take an online quiz to see if THEY have body dysmorphia (hint: it is not the answer you're expecting). • My Unedited Story
    2024/10/16

This episode is near and dear to my heart.

For the first time, I'm telling my story, unedited, front to back. From how I fell into an eating disorder, to starting a comedy career, and where this whole journey surrounding my body has led me.

It's important to me to be 100% authentic and transparent as I continue to embark on this journey of advocacy for eating disorder recovery. I want everyone to know that you can get through this - because I did, and I'm fighting for it everyday.

TW: This episode gets deep into diet programs, mentions of ED behaviors, and other topics that some listeners may find unnerving. View at your own discretion.

  • Fit, Fat, and All That W/ Julia Parzyck
    2024/10/02

We're at the intersection of eating disorder recovery, confidence coaching and making men lose their jobs today on My Body, My Jokes! Denver based inclusive stylist and confidence coach Julia Parzyck joins the pod to discuss her journey from online fitness guru to eating disorder recovery coach and beyond.

Julia (aka fitfatandallthat on Instagram) has built her career over the course of 10 years, and reins as the undefeated queen of clap backs. In her own words, "Fat jokes just don't hit anymore." We dive deeper into fatphobia and the world of body acceptance online while laughing our yasses off (can you believe Chat GPT suggested that line).

We had a little mishap with our cameras so only the first 25 minutes of footage were rendered - but don't worry, you can still enjoy this episode as audio, and we'll definitely have Julia back on the pod in the future.

  • Gen Z and Plastic Surgery
    2024/09/18

"Something strange is going on with Gen Z" - and no, it's not their questionable interest in the inflated pants known as barrel jeans.

Gen Z is getting plastic surgery in record numbers according an article published on Unherd.com, which Morgan reviews and dissects in this episode of My Body, My Jokes.

After giving a little recovery update, she dives into the article written by Kristina Murkett, and discusses her disagreements with her won Gen Z producer, Anissa.

Morgan also unveils the very first joke she ever wrote - and its definitely as bad as you think it is.
