Nanette Zumwalt & Mary Beth Barry, Chair, CORE Kidney Foundation

  • サマリー

  • Did you know you could have kidney disease and not even know it? It happened to a
family member of mine, and it nearly took his life. Please join me in speaking with
Nanette Zumwalt and Mary Beth Barry, kidney recipients and ambassadors of the
CORE Kidney program, which raises awareness about kidney disease as well as organ
    donation.
Nanette received her kidney from a living donor, while Mary Beth’s donor was
deceased. Both women were in dire need of a kidney transplant, and they talk about
their unique journeys with us. They also want to educate people about getting
screened for kidney disease when they go for their yearly physical through a simple
    blood test.
Kidney disease is a leading cause of death in the U.S., with an estimated 35-million
people estimated to have chronic kidney disease. It’s critical to know about your
kidney health, how and what to eat to keep your kidney functioning, and well discuss
that during our interview. This is a topic a lot of people don’t think about, so we’re here
to learn more and get the conversation going.
Please join #DeborahKobyltLIVE on all video and audio podcast platforms, and invite
your friends, too. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s my pleasure to have you
    join us.
