In response, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj made strict arrangements for the defense of Panhala Fort. Siddi Johar besieged Panhala Fort from all sides.

Adil Shahi was scared because Fazal Khan and Rustam Zaman were planning a second attack. Upon receiving this news, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj confronted Fazal Khan and Rustam Zaman in separate groups. Meanwhile, the Adilshahi army was attacked by the Maharaja's forces near Kolhapur.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj reached to the Pratapgad fort and celebrated victory. Khan's head was shown to Jijabai. The king told to bury Sayyad Banda’s & Khan's body at Bijapur. Mawlas attack Khan's army at Wai, Saswad, Supe, Shirwal. The territory occupied by the Khan came back to Swarajya.
