In this age of technology, we are all inundated with information and voices crying for our attention and our minds. If we don't have a solid Christian worldview or know how to critically think about all that clammers for our attention, we could find ourselves in a bad place. And as AI and technology ramps up more and more, it is vital that we equip our children with the ability to discern the Truth from amidst the lies. We sat down with long-time Christian Worldview teacher, Anne Sheridan, who has a lot of wisdom and sound advice for all of us! In this episode, we honor three women hymn writers who wrote some timeless hymns that have been sung by worshipers for centuries. One woman who wrote such a deep, theological hymn during the Reformation, some didn't believe a woman could have done it, and gave the credit to a man! Another of the ladies we look at, had an exemplary life leading up to the writing of her famous hymn, but then made several bad life decisions. And our third female was a young girl who taught all around her what real faith and confidence in the sovereignty of God looks like!

Have you ever done something pretty terrific and someone else gets the credit for it? It can frustrate us, and even sometimes make us mad. But Joseph Scriven reacted neither way, even when his beautiful hymn, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," was credited to someone else. Scriven was a completely selfless and loving man, who happily sacrificed all he had to further the Kingdom of God. His story is one of tragedy and sadness, but ultimately a story of triumph as God used Joseph Scriven in mighty ways!

As a rule, with age comes wisdom, but we need to be willing to recognize that wisdom is not just limited to the older. Sometimes, profound wisdom can come from the young. Such is the case with the two writers we delve into in this episode Augustus Montague Toplady, who wrote , Rock of Ages when he was only 21; and William Ralph Featherstone who wrote “If Ever I Loved Thee, My Jesus Tis Now,” at only 16. But youth wasn't the only thing these two had in common!
