These podcasts on the Spiritual Insights of Marie Routchine, founder of the Order of the Lily and the Eagle, are the conversations between two long time members of the OL+E, Kevin Pugh and Larry Van Vleet, to show how Marie’s unique understanding of traditional spiritual work can practically assist anyone interested in developing themselves first as an individual and then, ultimately, as an enlightened contributor to society. Marie founded the Order of the Lily and the Eagle over 100 years ago along with the co-founder Dimitri Semelas.


Her hope was to create a new, undistorted vehicle for the dissemination of traditional spiritual teaching so that a world of strong, free and morally conscience individuals might become something valued in the world. We believe that the powerful insights that came out of her creation are truly amazing in their capacity to empower change in one’s life and we hope to share at least some of that excitement with you here.     This is the first OL+E podcast, in this third series, on the Insights of Marie Routchine-Dupre, the founder of the Order of the Lily and the Eagle.

    In this podcast we present an overview of the three principal elements that characterize each individual – our physical Body, our Soul or Psyche, and our Spirit or Mind. Or we can say: what we sense, what we 'feel' and what we think. We can also use for the Soul the term our Emotional or Psychic nature, and for the Spirit our Mental nature. Our aim is to distinguish between these three underlying states so that we can start the work of self-transformation. The essential start point is that we observe how we act, feel and think - in every situation that we experience. After that we can start to ask 'why' we act, feel and think in that particular way, and if we so decide, to change what is our usual or typical response.

    This is difficult to know and everything around us stuffs us with alien points of view that often keep us from expressing who we really are. Unfortunately, no one can discover or express their own dissimilar personality if we measure who we are based on what other people are thinking and feeling. These are the external influences that we must overcome.
