I got my first call to help someone else in a couple years and I accepted the invitation to get my mom through knee replacement surgery so that’s where I’ve been and here’s what happened when I was gone! It’s been a long time since someone could count on me to be there and it felt amazing! Trauma takes away your ability to be there for others and most importantly yourself.
