Today is a great ride in the spring or fall. We get beautiful desert scenery, tall snowcapped mountains, pine forests, plenty of twisty roads and we will be stopping at one of our all-time favorite delis along the way. After lunch we’ll climb up one of the best riding roads in Southern California, Palm to Pines Highway. Once we reach the pine forests, we’ll work our way west down twisty roads all in the shadow of Mt. Palomar, past Lake Elsinore and then up and over Ortega Highway to Home.
Also in today’s Episode Wayne and Cowboy will join Mo to talk over a little history from our route including; Who started one of the top restaurants in the country by selling cookie dough door to door; What singer was rejected from a university choir group but then became “the person who taught America to Sing” and what children’s school supply item was used to help plan the route up the cliffs for the Palm to Pines Highway.
In the end I’ll join you back here with some Notes from the road and give a few thoughts about creative solutions when you live on two wheels and a road.
