  • In 1934, Buts and Brother Isaac grow closer, driving a wedge between Isaac and his traveling partner Gadabout Jack. When Missus Bestfriend’s magical powers are revealed, the three come to a crossroads. Meanwhile in 1957, an older, beaten-down Gadabout Jack is invited to sing at a recording studio eager to capitalize on the recent folk revival.
