Parul experienced Alopecia through her life, and likens the resolution to this experience as Post-Traumatic Growth. Parul spends time thinking about what it means to be perceived in South Asian societies and cultures when you're a woman who doesn't (and may not be able to) conform to societal norms.Parul currently is running a project called "Ancestral Futures: Ancient Ideas to build our futures" which holds a focus on collecting pre-colonial South Asian ideologies, culture and histories in hopes to share knowledge and offer different ways of being.
