Floradora:
This pink stunner is an homage to the "Florodora Sextete," six
scandalously beautiful young ladies who danced in the 1900 musical
Florodora at New York's Casino Theatre. Just like the dancers who
went on to marry millionaires--as David Wondrich recounts in his
book, Imbibe!-the Florodora cocktail is unapologetically alluring, a
mess of muddled raspberries swirled with lime, gin, and ginger soda.
It was most definitely drunk by the well-heeled crowds who sidled up
to its likely barroom of origin, at the Waldorf Astoria hotel.
